Elektromontaż Poznań has been constructing a new wing in Karol Jonscher Teaching Hospital in Poznań since January…

The contract is executed for the General Contractor of the task (Skanska) and includes the installation of indoor sanitary systems and HVAC.

The new hospital wing will have 3 above-ground storeys and 1 underground storey. Two existing Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Departments (III and IV) will be transferred to the new area. Pathology, haematology and immunology, and cytotoxic laboratories and the Oncology Unit will be located there. Furthermore, a room for general anaesthesia, neonatal care unit, laser therapy office, offices for psychological support, rehabilitation room, children care centre, amenity areas for parents and guardians and a seminar room will be ensured.

The department interior will be arranged to make the children stay as comfortable as possible. On the corridor walls pictures with natural, urban and marine motives will be placed. The building will be also provided with a large aquarium.

When the construction is completed (work completion is scheduled at 2022), the total hospital floor space will be increased by 3,377 m2.
